Sepp Blatter's comments about Cristiano Ronaldo did not go down well amongst the Real Madrid top brass or the Bernabéu faithful. Far from turning a blind eye, the fans are determined to stand by the Portuguese ace during the clash against Sevilla.
A movement has sprung up amongst 'Los Blancos' supporters on social media, who have decided to pull together to support their idol in response to the FIFA president's regrettable remarks.
The Bernabéu crowd is planning to stick up for Ronaldo with a series of chants in the 7th minute - after the regular "Illa, Illa, Illa" song in tribute to Juanito Juanito - and again in the 77th. The fans will sing "Illa, Illa, Illa, Cristiano maravilla" (roughly translated, "Yeah, yeah, yeah, Cristiano is amazing").
